Establishment of the CVH Charity 30 May 1949

The Broadleaze fields were under private ownership until 1946.   An orchard in Bury Farm in the 1800s and then grazing pasture in Middle Farm until WW2.

Following his death in 1946, the trustees of the estate of John Edwards bequeathed Broadleaze Fields and the YMCA Club building to the Parish Council of Codford.
